Liveloud Arrives in Vancouver

In celebration of its twenty first year of existence in Canada, Couples for Christ in Vancouver showcased its inaugural outing, February 21, of the much acclaimed Liveloud experience. Fifteen hundred (1500) souls came to the jam-packed Chandos Pattison Auditorium in Surrey, BC and witnessed being a part of the grand celebration. The entire event was simply awe-inspiring as the whole community came together for its first-ever adventure in British Columbia.

Spearheaded by the CFC-Youth, Liveloud is a testament to their dynamism and vigour. Aided by the insights of forebears, the horizon appears hopeful, reassuring and promising.

Archbishop J. Michael Miller celebrates the mass together with Fr. Glenn Dion, pastor of Star of the Sea Parish and CFC Spiritual Director, and Fr. Rufo "Junji" Zarate of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish.

Since its inception in 2009, Liveloud Praise Concerts have been conducted across Canada, USA, and Asia. Liveloud is a CFC-Youth campaign that aims to encourage and inspire community members, especially the youth, to share their God-given talents in music by composing original praise and worship songs.

Liveloud is also a springboard program with the goal of sharing original songs with the entire community and the larger pool of Catholic worship songs. It is through the Liveloud Praise Concert that songs, which in essence are prayers, are shared, taught, and launched at a larger scale.

 The spirit behind Liveloud is one that demands action. It emphasizes the need to live authentic, transparent, and faithful lives as witnesses of Christ in the world.

Anton Brosas, full time pastoral worker, leads the Liveloud prayer worship. He challenges listeners to be missionaries in their own lives.

Pauline Genio of CFC Youth dedicates herself to Mary as Mary was instrumental in bringing her own life back in order.

Lorrenz Somollo, a self-confessed mama's boy, finds the grace of forgiveness through Mother Mary.

Ivy Ilano of Singles for Christ, remains hopeful and optimistic because the Lord God is faithful.

The Sangalang Family led by Edwin & Ylen, son Jarwin (John Marwin) and daughter Jessica Laura, all burst in joy as the youngest in the group daughter JJ (Jedilyn Joy) takes her turn in speaking in front of the crowd. The family follows Jesus as a journey of a lifetime. They all serve in the community and in their parish. 

Liveloud is an opportunity to personally encounter our Lord through prayer and worship. It is also an avenue to reach out to others. Let us live loud so that we can proclaim God's greatness to all the ends of the earth.
